Life in the East

Our home is on the tenth floor in a city with millions and millions of people.  Our mode of travel is either our feet, a taxi, the bus or riding a bike. We daily head to the market across the street from our apartment complex to buy veggies, fruits, eggs, meat and much more.  We are learning to be big city folks!

Our sons are enjoying their new home.  They like to greet people here in Chinese and really enjoy riding the bus. During the cold season, one of their favorite spots to play, is our waterless pool where they can run around and play with Dad and meet some neighborhood children. Their favorite local food are dumbplings and they are beginning to figure out the whole chopsticks thing.  If they get to choose where to go eat, they will either pick Mcdonalds or pizza. 

Some of their favorite activities these days:
Playing sports with daddy, animals in the boat (give them a big bowl of water and some little people, animals and they can play for hours),building blocks, reading time, Mom's little helpers in the kitchen, and watching a Veggie Tales movie. 

These parents sure think they are pretty remarkable with how they have adjusted to their new life.
